Domestic and unfamiliar participants during a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City
on May 12 concluded that Vietnam needs to boost budgets for
programmes to quarrel HIV/AIDS.

Participants also concluded that a Health Ministry should contention the
HIV/AIDS inhabitant aim programme and plan until 2020 and the
vision to 2030 to a National Assembly soon.

Truong Thi Mai,
Head of a National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs pronounced a NA
would have a preference on resources for HIV/AIDS control in a second
session of a 13 th tenure, slated for Oct this year.

At present, HIV/AIDS control in Vietnam is assembly many difficulties, generally appropriation and tellurian resources.

Over
the past 5 years, financial sources met usually 50 percent of the
demand and were not sustainable, as over 70 percent came from
international organisations and usually 13 percent was from a State
budget. Meanwhile, tellurian resources for a works gifted shortages
in provincial and district areas.

According to a Health
Ministry’s Department for HIV/AIDS Control, by a finish of 2010, the
number of HIV carriers in Vietnam was 184,000. The figure was
